Some interesting information about Yagoona

Yagoona is a suburb in south-western Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is located 15 kilometres (9 miles) west of the Sydney central business district and borders Blacktown to its east and Parramatta to its north. The suburb takes its name from an Aboriginal word meaning ‘place of wild honey’.

The Autumn Fair, which took place in Gazzard Park every year, allowed the community to express their goals and objectives as well as raise funds for community projects and work. Its final season was in 2009. A ticket raffle, a $1 sausage sizzle for Girl Guides Yagoona, free transit are just a few of things we used to love.
